Aldeia is an editorial directory of family services in Florianópolis — from pregnancy to age 12. Curated, with optional personalization by neighborhood and family stage. Here's everything you can do.
Search, compare, talk — all in one place, organized the way families actually use it.
Browse by category, neighborhood or name
7 top-level areas (Parties, Activities, Health & Pregnancy, Education & Care, Clothing & Layette, Outings & Places, Services), 50+ subcategories, 49 indexed Floripa neighborhoods. Filter by rating, review count, kid specialists, or — for health — by insurance plan and providers accepting new clients.
Personalize your experience
Pick up to 3 family stages at once (pregnancy, baby 0–12m, kid 1–3, 4–7, 8–12) and the home page reorders to prioritize each. No required login — saved locally; signed-in users carry it across devices.
Set your neighborhood, see your block first
On /onboarding, pick where you live. /explore boosts your neighborhood listings to the top, the home Agenda filters events to your bairro with a toggle to see all of Floripa, /trocas and /perguntas follow the same pattern. On /bairro/{your-bairro}, you see how many other Aldeia families also live there.
Agenda — what's on this week, by daily tabs
Family events, workshops, festivals and meetups submitted by the community or by Aldeia, organized into daily tabs. Items marked “Aldeia's Pick” float to the top with a terracotta pin. Always-open kid venues live in a separate footer link.
Swaps — direct between families
/trocas has two rails: posts from Aldeia families (donation or sale, direct WhatsApp contact) and a curated rail of OLX swaps. No middleman, no commission.
Real questions, community answers
/perguntas is a Q&A where Floripa families ask real questions about daycares, pediatricians, parties, neighborhoods, and the community answers. Every question goes through fast moderation — useful reference for whoever shows up later with the same question.
Guides and tools
12 long-form guides on daycare cost, bilingual schools, kids' parties, baby layette, stroller/breast-pump/crib comparisons, best neighborhoods for families. Tools: due-date calculator, interactive hospital-bag list, quick onboarding quiz.
Weekly — one digest every Thursday
Editorial newsletter on what's happening next week in Floripa for families. Add your bairro on signup and we'll segment regional content in the next iteration.
For local businesses
Aldeia is free to be on and free to edit. The more care you take with your page, the more quality signals parents see.
Claim your business listing
If your business is already on Aldeia, head to /claim/{place_id} (link on every business page), confirm via email and your listing earns the green “Verified” chip. From there, edit name, description, contacts, photos.
Register a new business
Not on Aldeia yet? /dashboard/negocios/novo — short form, sent to moderation. Approved within 48h. Free to register.
Signal your availability to clients
In your owner panel, toggle “Accepting new clients” + a short note (e.g. “Accepting new clients in May”). The chip shows on cards and on your page. Auto-expires after 30 days — re-confirm to keep the signal alive.
Insurance plans accepted (health)
Tick the plans you accept — Particular, Unimed, Bradesco, Amil, SulAmérica, Hapvida, NotreDame, Porto, Cassi, Geap. Becomes chips on the card + filter on the category page. Families find you by plan in seconds.
How we decide who gets listed
Aldeia's brand is “families here can trust what's here.” A few explicit rules:
Editorial curation, not algorithm
Every business passes quality filters: ≥3 real Google reviews, rating ≥4.0, valid bairro, plus name-trap exclusions (gyms listed as swimming, video producers listed as cinema, etc.). Editorially-picked items wear the “✦ Aldeia's Pick” pin.
Paid promotion is labeled and capped
Businesses can feature their listing (a “Sponsored” badge, optional monthly subscription). The badge is always visible and capped at 3 promoted listings per category/neighborhood page. Organic order comes from rating, review count, and — when you set your bairro — proximity to your block. No “sponsored” disguised as recommendation.
Google ratings, direct contact
Stars and review counts come straight from Google. When you decide to reach out, it's direct to the business — phone, WhatsApp, website, Instagram. Aldeia stays out of the conversation.
Frequently asked
Do I need to sign up to browse?
No. Everything's free to read. An account only matters for posting a swap, asking a question, editing a listing, or personalizing the home with bairro + stage.
Is it free for families?
Yes — no required signup, no monthly fee, no charges.
Is it free for businesses?
Yes. Claim your listing, edit details, register a new business — all free. Aldeia's revenue comes from affiliates (ML, Amazon) and — eventually — optional paid featured listings.
How do you decide who gets listed?
Each category was scraped manually from Google Maps with specific queries, then filtered by rating + review count + name heuristics (to remove wrong-fit competitors). Aldeia doesn't charge anyone to be listed and doesn't remove anyone for money.
