Aldeia uses a small set of cookies. Below is the full list of what we load, when, and where data goes.

Essential cookies (always on)

Required for the site to function — they can't be turned off. Exempt from consent under LGPD's necessary-cookies exemption (legitimate interest, art. 7, IX):

  • Login session (Better Auth) — keeps you signed in after you click a magic link. Data stored server-side (Neon/AWS sa-east-1).
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — anti-spam/bot protection on submission forms. Cloudflare may set its own cookies to recognize legitimate traffic. Data goes to Cloudflare's global servers.
  • Locale preference (NEXT_LOCALE) — remembers whether you prefer the site in PT or EN. Stays in your browser only.

Analytics and marketing cookies (with your permission)

These only load if you accept on the cookie banner. Legal basis: consent (LGPD art. 7, I) — withdrawable at any time.

  • Vercel Analytics + Speed Insights — anonymous page-view and Core Web Vitals metrics. Does not identify individual visitors. Data goes to Vercel Inc. (USA).
  • Meta Pixel (ID 1544222417412344) — fires a PageView event on every visit and standard events (Subscribe, Lead, CompleteRegistration) when you complete specific actions such as signing up for the newsletter or submitting a business listing. No personal data from forms (email, name, phone) is sent — Automatic Advanced Matching is disabled in Events Manager. Data goes to Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Meta privacy policy).

How to withdraw consent

Click in the footer (or below), select Reject, and tracking stops on the next navigation. Data already sent to Vercel or Meta cannot be recalled, but no new data will be sent.

Browser local storage

Beyond cookies, Aldeia uses localStorage to keep preferences on your device: saved items (the heart on each card), your home neighborhood, filter choices, and dismissals of the signup modal. This data stays in your browser and is never sent to us. Clearing the cache wipes it.

Additional third parties

Maps: your browser fetches tiles from OpenStreetMap when you open a page with a map. UGC images live on Vercel Blob. Neither shares cookies with Aldeia.
